If you go to kanchanaburi for one nigth or two it might work here.We stay for 5 nights really nothing to do with worker don t really care about us. Reception girl are nice but resturant people need more training to do.We order room service once and never get the food cause the guy forgot our room number the maneger call to say sorry but from the sound when talking to him I don t think he really care.House keeping cleaning the room very very lound and they forgot to clean our room even know we staying at one of expensive room in that hotel.
It a big hotel and have a lot of tour group stying so guess they don t care much about how guest think.Over all is a ok hotel but I will never go back there again.I will give many other small hotel around Kanchanaburi a chance than this big hotel and bad at service. |
Been using for many years and still good as always. |

Clean, spacious, quiet, very nice natural surrounding, plenty of space and walk way to either walk around or jog around . Service very friendly and efficient. Simple food from the menu, the special dinner cruise with buffet was very good - could make the atmosphere more special with a guitarist - a duo playing soft music instead of the pop tape/cd.
Many ants around on the balcony and lots of mosquitos in the room which needs daily spraying. The jacussi and swimming pool are fine but lots of leaves and again ants around the pool area - disturbing. Very informative, friendly private taxi tour service.

Good and nice hotel. However hotel is about 8km outside of Kanchanaburi, so if you are looking for a quiet spa resort the hotel is fine. Rooms are clean with A/C, breakfast is ok. You can rent bikes (not the newest ones) in the hotel and you can also book different tours to Erawan, River Kwai Bridge... |
Excellent. We booked the hotel one day before arriving. Everything was fine. |

Lovely resort but not too close to Kanchanaburi. Taxi into town each day and back costs 400 baht. Breakfast was OK but not set out well. Cutlery over here, plates over there, ketchup in another corner, toaster at the other end, eggs done outside and so on. You kind of had to chase your breakfast down by doing a sweep of the dining room.
The rooms were nice though and very clean. Very expensive inside the hotel. i.e. Foot massage cost treble what it does in the town centre. However, staff are great and resolve any problem almost immediately. We had no hot water when we arrived but it was fixed within 15 minutes of reporting it. Front desk staff were great correcting a problem with the room type and the bell boys couldn t help enough. Really great staff and a lovely resort, just a bit out the way. |
I am sure we asked for a double overlooking the river. My wife and I were given a twin room over looking the garden. Not too sure if this was my mistake or Sawadee but the hotel did their best to resolve it. We had to wait a short while but we got a double room.
Good service from hotel staff. |

Hotel was very nice but VERY quiet, if you want to go anywhere at all it s a taxi ride and as you are in the sticks , the hotel call a taxi for you which you pay three times over the odds of a normal taxi. We paid for for a drink in their bar than we did at home, which you don t expect in Thailand. If you want solitude - it s the place to go, if not stay in Kanchanaburi itself. |

The hotel is set in very nice grounds but the fabric of the hotel is tired and in need of refurbishment if it is to live up to its star catagory. There wasn t even a coffe/tea making facility in the room. Equally, the restaurant needs a total rethink if it is to be anywhere near reasonable. One evening, they provided a tour group with a buffet which the remainder of us residents were not allowed to access. This delayed our order considerably and the resulting meals didn t come near to their menu description. While the sweet menu had icecream as part of several choices, the hotel simply didn t have any during our 4 day stay. Bar prices were undoubtedly high and with the hotel quite some way from the main town, we were unable to go elsewhere easily. I think the hotel relies on bus tour groups for its main trade and when there were none, it became a bit like a ghost ship and none of the services functioned properly. We certainly wouldn t go to this hotel again. |
The information about the hotel on the website made it seem better than it actually was and the information on the availability of golf was quite misleading. The actual booking process over the net was very efficient and the car service to and from Bangkok which the Agency arranged was well worth the price paid. |

Very nice hotel.I did actually request a double room, preferably 1st floor, but got a twin on the ground floor. The staff tried very hard but the language barrier was a bit of a problem.Got the impression they are more geared up to dealing with Thai groups.Lovely river frontage and views, very peaceful. The nearby town is about 15-20 mins taxi away and the restaraunts around the bridge area close about 8.30 and taxis are then very hard to get.We thought about staying longer but once we saw the Erewan falls and bridge etc.there wasn t a lot more to do. |
Booking was very efficient and simple, the double room and 1st floor room was only requested and I think that was the hotels failing rather than the booking agency. |

This is a luxurious 4 and a half star resort with huge bedrooms; huge, empty hotel space and glorious gardens. However, this resort lacked intimacy and vibrancy. We were there for Chrismas but everything felt flat. Not cheap. |

Excellent setting and facilities and certainly value for money. The staff are tremendously helpful and friendly, having gone out of their way to confirm our homeward flights and to arrange transport into town on many occasions. The only downpoint was the price of drinks - but at this class of hotel, one could half expect that. Buffet breakfasts were good - spoilt for choice and again a lovely complement of restaurant staff. 6 miles out of town - but the setting is worth it! We would certainly stay here again! |
Really smooth. Efficient. You can certainly book through Sawadee with confidence. |
